I have been "in dogs" for the last 30 years. My original breed was Labrador Retrievers.. The time came when I wanted a little smaller dog, and Pembroke Welsh Corgis are now the perfect dog for me!!! When I had Labradors, I did occasional breeding, and provided puppies and stud dog services to guide dogs organizations, ran field trials, obedience trials, competed at "SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA'S TOP DOG", and finished dogs in the breed ring as well. I was proud of the fact that I had one of the first CHAMPION UTILITY Labradors in the country!!! Ch. Wingmaster's Wedding's Eve, UD, WC. I Also had another UD Labrador and many champions to my credit. I ventured into border terriers as I love the terrier temperament, but I never really got the hang of grooming them. I did train my first border terrier to high scoring border terrier in the country in Novice the year she was eligible!!!

During this time, I trained professionally for an obedience club, and taught novice and puppy and open obedience for a dozen years or so. Since I have been in Corgis, I have finished all my dogs myself (in the breed ring), and have won high honors at specialties, group 1's and many supported entries, sweepstakes and best puppy in specialty awards, including BEST PUPPY at a National Specialty with CH. Jade Tree Penway's Remington, HC, CD, CGC when he was 9 months old!!! I now am in love with agility as I guess I am a free spirit at heart, and can run wild in the ring, with not as many "rules" as obedience, and Corgis LOVE it. I currently am running my Champion dog, JACK, "Ch. Summithill Gingerbread Man, OA, OAJ, NAP, NJP, TDI, CGC, HC, FS in Agility. (WHEW) He is just starting out competing at the EXCELLENT LEVEL!!! He is really a joy to run and I think we make a great TEAM. He finished his championship with 4 majors in 12 weeks. Jack and I have a special bond, and I derive allot of pleasure in running the agility courses with him!!!!

My husband, Alan, and my son Brian, and I live on 5 acres and have a licensed dog kennel. My husband had a strong background in dogs when we met, including professional handler and breeder of sporting dogs. We have been married for 27 years!! He is a big help to me with the dogs.
